About

I am a cancer biologist by training who has a keen interest in understanding cellular and molecular mechanisms underlying cancer. Particularly, I am intrigued by a SUMO-targeted ubiquitin ligase RNF4 (Slx5/Slx8 in yeast), its role in genome stability and its contribution to cancer.

I enjoy communicating my fascination with science through teaching and mentoring students in the classroom and beyond. I also have a long-term interest in developing ways to incorporate publicly available databases and bioinformatics tools in research and teaching.
